in the lesson where the task was set to film a mini film i was absent, however i was there to plan it and the lesson after to view the video and to take part in the editing.
watching my groups video back i have realised how important it is to plan not ony what you are going to film but that Me en scene plays a very big part in the presentation.
when Ashley was being filmed there was a reflection on the filmers in the window, this is something peope would notice, aso that when filming april on the other end of the phone that you could see the desk in the background of where ashley was sitting, you could clearly see that both people wwho where suposed to be in different settings where actually filmed in the same room.
noise actually went really well excdept one part where you could hear the camera man talking, luckiy we found that you can change the volume of what was happening and also put music over the top which we did.
i learnt that the editing side of things isnt as hard as i thought it would be, i had to work things out myself a little bit look around the programme, also my group members where very helpful in telling me what to do as i had never used a Mac before or the software we were using.
i think that for our first short film and the editing after we did pretty well, i think that we used a number of editing skills rather than just one, some are as follows;
cutting shots to the correct time
neatening the video in general
fade in effect atr begining
fade out effect at end
music and begining and end
credits scrolling up screen
title scrollling up screen
changiong the volume and deleteing background noise.
these are the editing techniques i have learnt so far and will continue to learnt more.
Overall from the mark scheme given i thinnk our vidoe deserves a level 2 for achieving the following things;
Holding a shot steady, where appropriate
Framing a shot, Including and excluding elements as appropriate
using a variety of of shot distances as appropriate
shooting material appropriate to the task
but i would say level 1 for mes en scene just for the fact that you can tell its all shot in the same room and that you can see reflections in the window.
